Don't be alarmed if you see helicopters flying low or emergency crews gathered at various Harris County locations this week.

Our partners at KHOU-TV say that, according to the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office, a large-scale emergency response training exercise called SAREX 2025 is scheduled to take place May 20–22 across several sites in the Houston area.

The training will run daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and residents can expect an increased presence of helicopters and first responders near the following locations:

Ellington Airport
Lake Houston
Deussen Park
Bay Area Park (Armand Bayou)
Eisenhower Park
San Jacinto River (from Lake Houston Dam to U.S. Highway 90)
