Meow, my name is Freya. My life didn't start out the best, but I am thankful to the kind family who took my newborn kittens and myself into their garage and contacted Houston Pets Alive. The family told my foster human this was the second set of kittens I had delivered. I had been homeless and getting food from convenience store customers. As I am young myself, it was a very difficult time. When I was brought to my foster humans home I blossomed. I was able to take care of my kittens without fear. Not only did I nurse my own 2 kittens, I took on other motherless kittens who needed to nurse. I have grown to a healthy weight and my kittens have flourished. I have spent the last months caring for kittens and I would like to know what it's like to just be a cat. I have a huge fear of dogs, even the nice ones who live in my foster house. I do go around them while they are sleeping or not paying attention. Funny thing is my foster human says I am a cat/dog. I will take cat treats out of your fingers one by one and sit up and beg. I love sitting on your lap or next to you. I purr like a champ when I get brushed or pet. I may be little but I am protective of other kittens and humans. I learned how to use a litter box quickly and never want to go back to being an outdoor cat. I am now indoor only.
