It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas movie time.
On the heels of Hallmark launching it’s slate of holiday movies, Lifetime is once again getting into the Yuletide romance genre game.
The network’s Christmas programming event is entitled “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” and will feature movies starring fan-favorites like Melissa Joan Hart, Kelly Rowland, Mario Lopez and Keisha Knight Pulliam.
From now until December 19th, Lifetime will air 30 holiday films to get you into the cozy Christmas mood.
This year the network is also breaking new ground by including it’s first film centered around a same-sex couple, and other diverse groups.
“Because the holidays are for everyone, this year Lifetime dives deeper into their commitment for diverse storytelling and inclusivity with The Christmas Setup, the network’s first holiday movie with a LGBTQ romance as the lead story; A Sugar & Spice Holiday, its first holiday movie centered on a Chinese-American family; Christmas Ever After, its first movie starring a lead actor with a disability; and A Welcome Home Christmas, Lifetime’s first movie centered on a military vet, airing prior to Veterans Day,” the company said in a press release.
Between Lifetime and Hallmark, your DVR will be working overtime this holiday season.
