Reactions ran wild after Cardi and Meg’s performance at the 2021 GRAMMY Awards as it was preceded with a full parental warning from host Trevor Noah. It was truly a GRAMMY performance unlike any other.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson and commentator Candace Owens didn’t share the positive sentiments about the performance as Owens went on a lengthy rant against “WAP.”
“You see that fundamentally we are seeing the destruction of American values and American principles and it’s terrifying,” she said on Carlson’s show. Owens went on to say that the performance was setting the stage for “corrosion” and “the end of the American empire.”
“Parents should be terrified this is the direction our society is heading towards,” she added.
Cardi caught wind of Owens’ segment and offered a hilarious response to the Fox News commentator. “Yaaaayyyyyyy WE MADE FOX NEWS GUYS !!! Wap wap wap,” she tweeted alongside the video.
As Cardi and Meg’s performance of “WAP” at the 2021 GRAMMYs has already been viewed more than four million times on YouTube, it’s unlikely that this is the last time Cardi and Fox News get into an exchange with one another.
