Celebrating the 25th anniversary of her self-titled debut album with Spotify, Christina sat down to reflect and reimagine live renditions of some of the album’s most famous tracks, including “Come On Over,” “I Turn To You,” and more.

Accompanied by a live band, and backup singers, Xtina also had some guests stop by, including Ron Fair, Senior VP of A&R at RCA Records, who is credited with discovering Aguilera, and songwriter Heather Holley from the original album's recording, to reunite and reflect on the early years of her career. After which Christina and Heather performed “Obvious,” a ballad they wrote together over 25 years ago.

Aguilera also brought out MGK for a guitar shredding rendition of “Genie In A Bottle,” and of course Ms. Sabrina Carpenter for a duet of her second single, “What A Girl Wants.”

Before the belting began, Carpenter took a moment to share with Aguilera the impact the singer had on her as a child aspiring to become a signer. “I think the first time I ever heard your voice was [when] my mom played me a video of you singing at eight years old, ‘A Sunday Kind of Love’” Carpenter told Aguilera. Referring to Aguilera’s 1990 appearance on Star Search when she was actually about 10 years old. “That was the most inspiring thing for me ever to see as a young girl that wanted to sing but just didn’t think I could do it at that age.”

Soon after, the music swept in and the singing began, with Carpenter taking the lead as a proud Aguilera looked on, before taking over for the second verse. The two effortlessly passed vocal duties back and forth, finishing the track together in perfect harmony. By now we’ve watch it like 100 times, and each time it gives us chills.

Aguilera closed out the session with “Reflection,” from the Mulan soundtrack song that was eventually adopted as a track on her debut album due to the reception the song received.
