Radcliffe made a name for himself as Harry Potter, the boy who lived, but his name was recently mentioned alongside another iconic character: Wolverine.

Rumors began swirling that the 32-year-old actor is sharpening his claws to take on the comic book character previously brought to life by Hugh Jackman, but Radcliffe immediately shot them down during an appearance on “The View.”

“I deny, yes,” he said, adding, “there’s never been any actual truth to it.”

But in a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment, the British star admitted that he hasn’t ruled out playing a supervillain or a superhero if the writing is there.

"I've been trying to put to bed the Wolverine thing because it's not based in anything, and just keeps coming up! But anything like that is super. If the script is interesting and cool, then I'm in,” he told the outlet.

Radcliffe proved that he has what it takes to play the bad guy as he took on a role polar opposite of his righteous character Harry Potter when he starred as cartoonishly evil treasure hunter Abigail Fairfax on “The Lost City” opposite Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

In fact, directors Adam and Aaron Nee really “wanted” Radcliffe for the role and were inspired by his previous performance in the 2016 film “Swiss Army Man.”

"We were like, 'This guy can do anything. We'd love to see his take on a villain.' What he brought to the film was incredible,” they said.

And if Radcliffe is uncertain about whether or not he can fit the part, Bullock definitely believes him and thinks he would be “amazing” as a comic book villain.

"It's hard doing the right thing all the time; it's more fun to be the hated one!” Bullock adds.

Though she typically tackles the lovable role in rom-coms, she knows a thing or two as she embraced her darker side to voice “Minions” antagonist Scarlet Overkill.
