The Rock is making some fast and furious revelations!
Dwayne Johnson appears to have a different perspective on his past feud with “Fast & Furious” co-star Vin Diesel and has now confirmed he's done with the entire franchse.
Diesel, who is a producer on the “Fast” films, recently spoke out about the rumored beef in which he said he used “tough love” to get the right performance out of Johnson.
Johnson portrayed Luke Hobbs in four “Fast” films and the 2019 spinoff “Hobbs and Shaw,” but didn’t appear in the recent chapter “F9.”
"It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character," Diesel told the outlet. "My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be."
Well, now Johnson is speaking his truth and he doesn’t appear to agree with Diesel’s take on the situation.
"I laughed and I laughed hard," Johnson told The Hollywood Reporter when asked about Diesel’s comments. “I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well.”
Johnson then said he wouldn't be appearing in any future films in the franchise.
“I wish them well on ‘Fast 9.’ And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11 and the rest of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies they do that will be without me,” the 49-year-old said.
Reports of a feud between the two co-stars first surfaced in 2016 while filming “The Fate of the Furious.”
After adding more fuel to the rumors on social media, Johnson spoke about improving his relationship with Diesel in an interview with Rolling Stone.
"Vin and I had a few discussions, including an important face-to-face in my trailer," the former WWE star said. "And what I came to realize is that we have a fundamental difference in philosophies on how we approach moviemaking and collaborating. It took me some time, but I'm grateful for that clarity. Whether we work together again or not."
Even before Johnson confirmed his departure from the films, Diesel has said the “Fast” franchise will end in 2024.
"Every story deserves its own ending," Diesel noted during a press junket for “F9.” "I know people are going to feel like it doesn’t have to end, but I think all good things should.”
