Larry King’s estranged wife is opening up about how the family paid tribute to the broadcasting legend at his private funeral.

Shawn Southwick King, 61, confirmed the late television host was laid to rest in a “beautiful” ceremony earlier this week.

“We laid him to rest this morning,” Shawn told Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday. “And in the Jewish faith, they do it very quickly, so you almost don't have time to, for me, to process. I'm still processing. And as are the boys, the whole family is just, you know, yeah."

Larry passed away on Saturday at the age of 87.

To honor his signature style, the family all wore suspenders to the ceremony.

"We all, it was just family, we wore Larry's suspenders, every one of us," she said. "And it was a beautiful, loving ... just perfect, just perfect. It was family. There was no showbiz, no, none of that."

Shawn and Larry were married in 1997 and shared two sons, Chance, 21, and Cannon, 20. He also shared 59-year-old son, Larry King Jr., with ex-wife Annette Kaye.

While Larry had been hospitalized with COVID earlier this month, Shawn, who was the late CNN host’s seventh wife, disclosed it wasn’t the cause of his death.

"It was an infection, it was sepsis," she told the outlet. "Well, he was finally ready to go, I will tell you that. You know, he never wanted to go but his sweet little body was just, it had just been hit so many times with so many things and once we heard the word COVID, all of our hearts just sunk. But he beat it, you know, he beat it, but it did take its toll and then the unrelated infection finally is what took him, but boy, he was not gonna go down easily."

The couple had been estranged ever since Larry filed for divorce in August 2019 citing irreconcilable differences.

Despite the split, Larry’s last words to Shawn were “I love you.”

"We were able to do FaceTime in the hospital and it was hard for him to talk, but the one message that he wanted to make sure I heard was, 'I love you, take care of the boys,'" she added.
