After having been teased the whole week prior, “Poison” — Aaliyah’s first posthumous single, arrived on Friday December 17. And if that doesn’t already have you majorly hype, how’s this — it features The Weeknd. AHHHH!!

Earlier this year, Aaliyah’s former label Blackground Records, now Blackground Records 2.0 announced plans to release the singer’s entire back catalog on streaming platforms as part of a new partnership with independent label EMPIRE.

And in regards to the rest of the anticipated album. When speaking to Billboard in August, Barry Hankerson, Blackground founder and Aaliyah’s uncle, additionally shared that aside from The Weeknd's apperance on “Poison,” the project would also feature, Drake, Future, and others. Again, AHHHH!!
