Donning a ball cap, aviators, and some slick pink headphones, Heaton was wrapping up a three-mile walk, and with a big smile noted that she is three years into her sober journey.

She goes on to offer that, if someone is thinking of doing the same or just needs some encouragement, to message her.

"It's July where we celebrate our nation's freedom, also celebrating three years of freedom from alcohol for me," she said in the clip.

"A lot to celebrate this month. #3years," the video was captioned.

As USA Today recalled, last year, in an interview with Parade magazine, Heaton detailed her battle and decision to quit drinking in the kind of relatable matter-of-fact style that her character so effortlessly employed on “Everybody Loves Raymond” and “The Middle.”

She claimed that the decision to quit drinking came when she realiezed every day she was looking forward to her nightly cocktail.

"I miss it terribly,” she admitted, “but at the end of the day, I feel better. There’s an actual statistic that women who were moderate drinkers in their 30s and 40s often become alcoholics in their 50s and 60s."

She continued, "You’re a little bit at sea, and so you reach for the bottle to dull the uncertainty. I sensed that a bit with myself. And as your hormones change, you can’t really process alcohol the same way you did when you were younger. I’ve stopped, and my life has improved significantly.”

Heaton revealed more about her sober decision and more life lessons in general in her book, "Your Second Act: Inspiring Stories of Reinvention," which comes out July 21.
