(SportsRadio 610) - It's another 18 days or so before the Indianapolis Colts have to decide whether to trade or release quarterback Carson Wentz.
That's when $15 million of his 2022 contract becomes guaranteed, and ESPN's Chris Mortensen has already reported the Colts' intention to part ways with Wentz after just one season.
If Wentz does indeed become available, it leaves open the slight possibility the Texans could pursue him in some capacity, whether it be as their starter or someone to compete with second-year quarterback Davis Mills.
The question of whether to bring in a veteran to compete with Mills is its own discussion. There are arguments for continuously trying to upgrade at the position, and for riding with Mills to see more of his potential after a promising finish to his rookie season.
In this episode, original Texans defensive lineman Seth Payne and former Texans Pro Bowl offensive lineman Wade Smith discuss the idea of bringing in a veteran reclamation project to compete with Mills.
SPOILER ALERT: They are not Carson Wentz fans.
