On Friday morning, the Houston Texans released three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt.
Cue all of the photo shopped pictures of Watt in Black and Gold with his brothers T.J. and Derek.
Steeler Nation would love to see a Watt trinity in Pittsburgh and T.J. and Derek want it too.
Shortly after the released was announced, T.J. posted a Tweet of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson doing his famous “Bring it” gesture while in WWE.
As ESPN’s Brooke Pryor reports, The Steelers are in salary cap hell and have bigger holes to fill than defensive end, but the Watt brothers have never all played on the same team.
But how much does J.J. want to play with his brothers? There is the possibility he could sign for the league minimum (somewhere around $1.3 million), but he still has some gas left in the tank.
Another question is would J.J. mind being a backup? Defensive ends Cam Heyward and Stephon Tuitt are locked in at the position for the next few years.
Regardless of how practical it would be to bring the oldest Watt to Pittsburgh, it is a possibility and judging by social media, fans want to see it happen.
