(SportsRadio 610) - The Texans activated seven players from the COVID-19 reserve list ahead of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers at NRG Stadium.
The activations leave 17 players still on the COVID-19 list as positive tests handicapped teams across the NFL.
Defensive linemen DeMarcus Walker, linebacker Christian Kirksey, cornerback Terrance Mitchell, safety Terrence Brooks and offensive lineman Justin McCray were all activated Saturday. The Texans also activated 11 players to the active roster from the practice squad as COVID-19 replacements.
Though Mitchell and wide receiver Danny Amendola were both activated Saturday, neither player is active for Sunday's game.
Of note, the Texans go into this game without their top wide receiver Brandin Cooks and pass rusher Jonathan Greenard, both on the COVID-19 list.
