(SportsRadio 610) - The Texans are signing veteran pass-rusher Rasheem Green to a one-year deal, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Monday morning.
Green, who turns 25 this month and rushes from both the inside and outside, spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks after they selected him the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Last season, Green recorded a career-high 15 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, six tackles for loss and 48 combined tackles.
In Seattle, Green's playing time steadily increased.
He played 33 percent of defensive snaps as a rookie in 2018, 51 percent in 2019, 53 percent in 2020 and 67 percent last season. He played was limited to 10 games in 2020 with a neck injury, then started 16 of 17 games in 2021.
