(SportsRadio 610) -- The Texans will open the 2021 season at home against the AFC South rival Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 12 at noon.
It will be the first regular season game for No. 1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence, the Jags' new franchise quarterback, and head coach Urban Meyer in his first season leading an NFL team.
The Texans, of course, also will have a new squad with head coach David Culley is in his first season. Quarterback Deshaun Watson's status is still unclear, but he's unlikely to play again for the Texans.
The NFL will announce the full 2021 schedule later Wednesday.
