The Texans are trading for New England Patriots tight end Ryan Izzo.
According to the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Texans are sending a 2022 seventh-round pick to New England in exchange for Izzo, who was a seventh-round pick by the Patriots in 2018.
Izzo started in 12 games for the Patriots last season, logging 13 catches for 199 yards.
Earlier Thursday, the Texans released tight end Darren Fells.
There could be more changes eventually to this position group. The Texans now have Jordan Akins, Pharaoh Brown, Kahale Warring and Izzo at tight end.
