The bleach blonde duo shared a video of what appears to be them filming something, sat side by side. And well, with the idea of a possible Christina x Sabrina collab floating out there, the internet has appropriately lost its mind.
In the brief clip Aguilera posted and simply captioned “Obsessed 💞💓,” Carpenter used an audio clip from an episode of The Kardashians that hears Kylie Jenner describing her relationship with her famous momager, Kris.
“I’m obsessed with my mom,” Carpenter lip-synced, “I am her favorite. We actually have a relationship like she has no other kids,” she continued, posing with Christina. Sabrina reposted the video to her Instagram Stories echoing Xtina’s sentiments, writing, “I don’t think you understand, I’m obsessed.”
As for they why? — it appears that Sabrina will be joining Aguilera as she celebrates the 25th anniversary of her 1999 self-titled debut album in a special episode of Spotify Anniversaries, scheduled to be released on September 23. The episode, which will also include an appearance from MGK, will feature newly recorded live performances of select tracks, as well as stories behind the making of the album.
“I wanted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut album in a way that brings together the past and present,” Aguilera explained to Rolling Stone. “I’ve always enjoyed reimagining my songs with different styles and audiences, as well as playing with sounds and arrangements that showcase how all music can be timeless.”
