Summer is almost here, and a lot of people will be taking time off to travel, (even Wicker & Wilde) and while lots of folks like to flock to popular destinations, some of those popular spots may not really be worth the time and money. So, how do you know which ones to skip? Well, a new report is here to help.
According to a new survey by the travel guide Fodor’s:
Top Five Most Overrated Attractions In The World
1. Disney Theme Parks - 17% of people choosing either Disney World Orlando, or Disneyland in Anaheim, California .As for why it’s so overrated, the main complaints are that it’s too crowded and too expensive.
2. The Leaning Tower of Pisa
3. The Eiffel Tower - Rebecca totally disagrees! So worth the views of the city when you are at the top.
4. Times Square
5. The Louvre - Rebecca and Jeff disagree with this choice, too. The Mona Lisa is a bit disappointing (much smaller than you think) but if you are going to Paris you simply must cruise through this iconic museum.
And for some, they’ve been disappointed by more than just an attraction. The survey finds some people just don’t like entire cities including: Las Vegas (4%) New York (2%) and Los Angeles (2%).
Other fun facts:
87% of folks are planning to travel this summer.
70% are looking at domestic destinations for their summer travel.
Happy Traveling this summer!
