Howie - Capital Area Rescue Effort

Sweet Howie is a happy fellow who came to us recently from our favorite West Virginia shelter partner. He presented to the shelter with a condition in his back causing lameness with difficulty standing, and was diagnosed with suspected discospondylosis. Several months of medications and rest have corrected his issues and Howie is up and moving, ready to run and play! This happy fellow needs a human buddy! He is a loving, gentle soul with a happy spirit and plenty of energy. He would make a great pet in an active home. Fully grown at just 18 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Howie is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. A home without larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard will give Howie a safe environment in which to run and play. Howie is not well suited to small children or very small dogs who could be upset by his enthusiasm.
