Jack Jack - Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond

Hi Everyone! Jack Jack here. I am a 58 lbs. male who is 6 yrs old. Did my handsomeness cause you to take a double look? I may not be a total Lab but I’m still pretty terrific! I’m really intelligent, fun loving and loyal. I’m great with kids and with a proper introduction larger humans too. I have good house manners, (I was allowed on furniture in my original home, but not here so I’m learning, which is okay with me), walk well on leash and am super easy going. I know sit, down, stay (but not for too long, please), paw, drop it and come. I’m learning more cues every day and positive reinforcement training is way cool and fun…I love treats and am an attentive, focused student! My favorite activities include being close to you, going for walks and playing fetch with the Chuckit. Tennis balls are my joy and sometimes I nudge the ball around with my nose and look soooo adorable. I'm a fabulous driving companion! Now being honest here…I need to be an only pet. I’ve had some bad experiences with other dogs (not my fault!) so I’m not comfortable around them. I also have a high prey drive so please no cats or any small animals. I will chase deer, squirrels, bunnies, birds and even bugs. My other downfall is I have separation anxiety… but we’re working on it and I’m doing better! I take medicine and have a special crate. I think both of these issues can be managed with time and patience. Won’t you please give me a chance to show you how wonderful I am? You won’t find a more devoted friend!
