Being the elusive lady that she is, Jackie had to be caught in a trap by one of our Animal Control Officers. She was initially terrified of us and the shelter environment, but after some much-needed time to decompress and settle in, she has begun to come around. At this time, Jackie is hoping to find a laidback home where she can spend the rest of her days. Could you be the one for her?
Although she is still timid and shy with new people, the way to win over Jackie's heart is through lots of love and booty scratches (those are her favorite). She may be large in size, but she is truly a gentle and mellow soul. However, Jackie's playful and perky side shines through whenever toys are involved! Since she came into our care in ruff shape and underweight, she tends to act starving and can be chompy when it comes to food. For this reason, as well as her reserved nature, Jackie would do best in a home without young children. She is also looking to be the only doggo in her future forever home.
