He came to us late last year after being surrendered to an area shelter by his owners. It took him a good while to warm up to us and not try to escape, but this little guy will need a very secure home and yard and a committed owner who will understand that he is a diamond in the rough and a great fellow under his fear. Jesse is just about 10 pounds and is fully grown. He does well with other dogs his size and is kind to humans, but we will not place him with children as we feel they could accidentally provide openings for him to get away. A home with an experienced owner and a very secure yard are a must. He can both jump and climb. Again, the person able to see beneath his initial behaviors will be rewarded with an amazing pet in the end.
