Tiger arrived to RACC with his sister, Sasha, after 8 long years with their human. While he loved them very much, he had to undergo some medical procedures that left him unable to properly care for them. As you can imagine, after 8 years in a home, an animal shelter is the last place a cat wants to be, and the transition to "shelter life" has been difficult. Rather than housing them in cages, we currently have these siblings living in one of our large visiting rooms which is set up more like a home environment to help with their transition. Sasha arrived with matted hair along her back and had to have several mats cut out, so she's currently growing out a bad haircut (hey, we're not groomers!), but she seems forgiving. Sasha is the leader of this pack and is the first one to come to you for pets and lap-warming. Tiger is a little more reserved, but he's the brains of this duo. He will take a little extra time to come to you, but once he does, he's all love. These two are bonded, and as they've been together for 8 years, we would like for them to stay together. Both cats are very overweight and could use a diet and exercise plan in their new home, so we hope you're ready to get them into their "bikini ready" bodies by summer!
