Scout is a lovely puppy who came to us recently from a nearby shelter with another of his litter mates. They are older puppies believed to have been born in the spring of 2022. Both are beautiful boys who are very loving and would make wonderful additions to most families. We believe that both will be just under 20 pounds when fully grown. Both pups are in good health, completing their vaccines and neuter surgeries. We are seeking a home with a secure, fully fenced yard, without young children, and without larger pets. We are also hoping to find homes for each with adults at home a good part of each day to provide consistent training and socialization.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
