Star-Spangled Squirrels Fest at CarMax Park, Richmond
Date: July 4, 2026
The Richmond Flying Squirrels might be on the road this year but that's not stopping the organization from having some fireworks! The first Star-Spangled Squirrels Fest at CarMax Park will feature a fireworks show and performances from bands including Grateful Shred and local favorites No BS! Brass Band. Tickets start at $16.
Chesterfield Fireworks Show, Chesterfield
Date: July 4, 2026
The Chesterfield Fireworks Show will be held at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds and is a free event open to all ages. Gates open at 5pm and fireworks will begin at dusk. Bring a chair or picnic blanket to set up and enjoy the music from The KOS Band, plus food vendors and a kids zone.
Dogwood Dell Fourth of July
Date: July 4, 2026 | Byrd Park | 5 p.m., fireworks after dark
One of RVA’s oldest 4th of July traditions! The free evening features performances by the Richmond Concert Band before the fireworks over Byrd Park. Bring a blanket and arrive early!
Star-Spangled Nights
Date: July 3 - 5, 2026| Kings Dominion | All day, fireworks at 10 p.m.
Roller coasters AND fireworks! Sign us up! Explore the park and then settle in for fireworks around 10pm.
Red, White & Lights
Date: July 4, 2026 | Meadow Farm at Crump Park | 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Henrico County is the mix with live music from the Richmond Symphony and a laser light show instead of fireworks.
Raft Trip & Fireworks on the James
Date: July 4, 2026 | RVA Paddlesports | 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
