Dancing With the Stars appears to be getting a big new addition to the cast of its upcoming season.
McLean teased some “big news” on his Instagram as he told fans about the work he’s been putting into his diet and fitness during quarantine.
"I'm on a very strict diet, grain-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, no sodas of any kind, and completely sober for almost nine months," he said. "This amazing, but rigorous, workout is all due to my amazing trainer, Mr. Bobby Strong. He's been a huge asset in my transformation, trying to get myself prepared and ready for what's to come in the next few weeks."
"A lot of surprises coming from me," he teased in the video. "I can't tell you guys exactly what yet but I'm doing this for two reasons: one, to get in the best shape of my life, and to be healthy and to be happy, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and there's something else coming up. Can't tell you what it is but believe me you'll know why based on that."
Sources confirmed to ET that his big news will be the announcement of his participation on the upcoming season of Dancing With the Stars.
McLean joins The Bachelorette’s Kaitlyn Bristowe as the only other celebrity to be revealed for the next ‘DWTS’ season. The show previously announced the lineup of professional dancers returning next season including a few fan-favorites such as Sharna Burgess, Peta Murgatroyd, Val Chmerkovskiy, Cheryl Burke, Keo Motsepe, Jenna Johnson, Alan Bersten, Brandon Armstrong, Sasha Farber, Pasha Pashkov, Emma Slater and Gleb Savchenko.
Season 29 of Dancing With the Stars will premiere on Monday, September 14 at 8PM ET on ABC.
