Mark Hoppus took to Instagram Live, sporting shades and a sun hat, to provide details regarding blink-182’s upcoming EP and rank some of the band’s best tracks.
“I love California the album,” the bassist told follower over the weekend. “It’s probably in my top two, or three.” He goes on to round out blink-182’s top five albums. “I think it goes, Untitled, Enema, California…” Mark then hesitates between two classics, drawing closer to the top. “Probably Take Off Your Pants and Jacket over Nine. Then Neighborhoods, Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat.” For those of you keeping track at home, below is Mark’s list, ordered.
1.) Untitled
2.) Enema of the State
3.) California
4.) Nine
5.) Take Off Your Pants and Jacket
6.) Neighborhoods
7.) Dude Ranch
8.) Cheshire Cat
Hoppus also detailed production for the band’s highly-anticipated new EP. “We’re working on it today,” he said. “Matt is going back into the studio with John today to work on new songs. I think we have a track listing, we still need to finish these songs [and] get them mixed. We’re a ways away still, but we are working on it.”
Blink-182 has spent the better part of 2020 teasing their work in progress. Back in early August, they released the single "Quarantine,” lamenting life during spread of the coronavirus. "Quarantine, f*** this disease, I’d rather be on Star Tours or stuck at the DMV. Quarantine, no not for me, I thought that things were f***** up in 2019. F*** quarantine."
Mark has also been busy with personal endeavors, this year. He recently saved a deer from drowning. There’s proof!
