Joining host Sean Mack in the LiveGreystarATX.com Lounge for another round of behind-the-scenes chatter during this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival, singer-songwriter Teddy Swims was feeling a serious urge for some Terry Black's BBQ. "If I don't get some of that brisket it's gonna be all hell break loose," he laughs.

WATCH NOW: Teddy Swims on the current crop of legacy artists

It’s been a huge year for Swims and his late-2023 release I've Tried Everything but Therapy, and this coming November 8, Sean says he is manifesting a GRAMMY nomination for Teddy – perhaps for Record of the Year, or Song of the Year. “I would be so happy,” Teddy says, “but I think even when we were just at the VMAs and stuff too, there's such good new artists I think are legacy artists now, with Benson [Boone], and dude, there's Chappell Roan, Shaboozey -- the list goes on and on with the great new artists that I think are all legacy artists. This year seems like a lot like 2008 to me, where we had Drake and Nicki Minaj, and all these amazing new artists coming up. Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter III was just taking over the world, Lady Gaga was blowing up… And so, I like to think this is kind of similar with a lot of new artists."

“I'm just happy to be a part of that conversation of the new artists coming in and of course, I would like to take something home” he adds, “but there's no losing in this battle, so I'm just grateful to be a part of the conversation.”

WATCH NOW: Looking back on 10 years with Cannons

Michelle Joy, Ryan Clapham, and Paul Davis of Cannons dropped by to chat with Sean and give an overhead view of their still-budding careers so far. Looking back on last week’s performance in the Texas heat, singer Michelle Joy explains, “We had fire for the first time during our set… we're bringing even more heat to the 100-degree weather today! I hope everyone drinks water.” Though still enjoying every chance they can to put their music in front of new audiences, it’s worth noting that the band is celebrating 10 years since the release of their first EP. “It feels like ‘wow’ to me how quickly time has gone by,” Michelle says.

“I feel like time just goes by so fast, especially when you're doing something you love,” guitarist Ryan Clapham adds, “and these last four years of just constantly touring have gone by incredibly fast. I didn't know it was our… 10 years, you say?!” Again, with GRAMMY nominations just weeks away, Michelle says “It would be amazing” to receive a nod this year, “but at the same time, either way, we're happy to be out here sharing music with everyone and feel the amount of love and support that we have over the past 10 years."

WATCH NOW: Dasha is thankful to the Country community for a warm welcome

Country/Pop singer-songwriter Dasha sat down with Sean Mack right after her weekend-two performance. “The audience was just killer, they were so excited to be there. There's some hot guys in the audience, I’ll tell you that much,” she adds. “They were in overalls and I was like, ‘OK, cowboys!’” Getting the chance to sing her hit single ”Austin” in Austin, Texas, “Kind of feels like a homecoming, everyone is so excited here” she says. “I love getting into the crowd during that song and just stoking people out, it's so fun! I brought the ranch hands up with me, the burlesque cowboys, so they were shirtless on stage, line dancing with me.”

Though she may not be making an official move to the city, Dasha says she has found a real home in Country music. “I mean, there's just been so many incredible artists that have shown so much love and support,” she explains. “I kind of felt like a rookie this year, so it felt really good to have that support. Keith Urban was one of the first ones to reach out. He and I sang ‘Austin’ at his CMA Fest show -- which was so fun. I played my first stadium right before that, Nissan Stadium, and then we literally jetted over to the show and sang “Austin’ with Keith Urban. I was like, ‘What is my life today?’ It was crazy… this year would not have been the same without that pouring support from the Country world.”

WATCH NOW: Daniel Seavey on the immaculate vibes of Austin

Speaking of making moves to ATX, former Why Don't We member Daniel Seavey already has a Zillow spotlight search going in anticipation of relocating. “I'm from L.A. basically -- I'm from Vancouver, WA, but I've lived in L.A. for like six years. So, it feels kind of the same,” he explains. “The vibes here are pretty immaculate compared to L.A. -- like, the people here rock. So I prefer it here, I was on Zillow yesterday just checking around. I’m so serious. I went to the Barton Springs Pool yesterday and Leon Bridges was playing in the background and I was like, ‘Why am I not living here?’”

Daniel is hot off the road opening for Benson Boone over the summer, an artist he considers “an alien of a human,” and “the prime example I've seen of mind over matter. I've never seen anything like it," he says. "Something you shouldn't be able to do, he looks at it and is like, ‘I could do that with full confidence’ and then just does it. It doesn't matter if it's a parkour stunt or the highest note you've ever heard in your life, he will do it first try.”

“It's absurd. It's annoying,” Seavey laughs. “It's cool for me, too. I obviously come from my band, Why Don't We, and then kind of going on my own solo path it was pretty lonely, especially the first year. It was just so unfamiliar -- I felt like a kid again going out with him, and his whole crew is his hometown friends.”
