Aldi is coming to a location near you!

The German-owned discount supermarket chain unveiled its plan to open 100 new stores across the U.S. in 2021.

Per the release on Wednesday, the new locations will focus on new locations in Arizona, California, Florida and the Northeast.

With the ongoing pandemic changing how customers shop, the chain will continue offering grocery delivery through Instacart in “almost all of its stores.”

The chain also wants to offer “customers convenience in how and when they shop,” so it will expand Curbside Grocery Pickup to 500 additional stores by the end of the year.

"We’re incredibly proud to continue growing in all aspects of our business, from opening new stores to enhancing our eCommerce offerings, especially in light of the challenges businesses have faced in the last year,” said Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI U.S.

"Our commitment to our shoppers, new and existing, is the same — we will do everything in our power to offer the lowest possible prices every day — and we look forward to supporting more communities across the country with amazing ALDI products at a value that can't be matched,” he added.

Despite the pandemic, Aldi saw massive growth in 2020 and opened up an additional 70 stores.

In July, Aldi, which is owned by the same company as Trader Joe’s, celebrated the opening of its 2,000th store in the U.S.

Per the release, Aldi also broke ground on a new regional headquarters and distribution center in Loxley, Alabama, which “will support the company’s expansion throughout the Gulf Coast region.” Currently, Aldi’s headquarters are located in Batavia, Illinois.

With the distribution center, Aldi has plans to open 35-new Gulf Coast-area stores by the end of 2022.

Bloomberg previously reported that Aldi and Trader Joe’s succeed in catering to a millennial demographic with lower price points making items roughly 50% more affordable than at traditional supermarkets. Consumers are also drawn to Aldi through easy-to-navigate stores, an ever-rotating array of fun and inventive items, and a good selection of house brand goods.
