
Since it’s November 22 arrival, many have been finding themselves in their Wicked era, and rightfully so. The incredible highly-anticipated film has taken over on a monumental scale — “holding space,” inspiring memes, plenty of social media discourse, and reminded us all just how much pink goes good with green, well with green.

The movie musical starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Galinda/Glinda has even obliged the demand for official sing-a-long screenings, much to the gratitution of all the fans that feel inspired to sing along, one of whom is Camila Cabello.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Camilla passed along her congratulotions to the film’s stars and sang its praises, literally. “You were brilliant Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Can’t stop listening and singing,” she captioned her IG story. A black-and-white video of herself belting Wicked’s act one closers, “Defying Gravity.” The post also featured a pink and green heart emoji.
No stranger to musical movies, Camila previously showcased her own musical film chops when she starred as Cinderella in Amazon’s modern musical adaptation of the classic fairytale, offering a fresh twist on Disney’s beloved 1950 animated film.
As for those fans eager to belt out the soundtrack like Camila, a special sing-a-long version of Wicked will be hitting theaters on Christmas Day. The screenings are expected to play at approximately 1,000 theaters across North America, with exact locations and showtimes still to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, in other thrillifying Wicked news, the Jon M. Chu-directed Wicked: Part 1 has officially become the highest grossing movie based on a Broadway musical ever at the domestic box office, generating $263.1 million in North America. Wicked has also grossed $359.2 million globally to date, making it the fourth highest grossing Broadway musical following Mamma Mia! which grossed $612 million, Les Miserables at $442.7 million, and Grease which garnered $396.2 million.
Part 2 of the Wicked adaptation is set to hit theaters in November 2025.
