What do you get for someone who already has pretty much all the diamonds, furs, bags and cars? Well… a mansion of course. And that's exactly what Offset gifted his wifey Cardi B for her birthday. Yup… that’s right a whole estate in the Dominican Republic, plus more diamonds and furs.
On Monday night, the “WAP” rapper celebrated her 29th birthday with a dancehall-themed bash in L.A. And with a star studded guest list in attendance including Megan Thee Stallion, Normani, Lizzo and more, Offset surprised Cardi by announcing that he bought her a house in the Dominican Republic, as seen on TMZ.
“I done bought you the biggest diamonds you could get, I done bought you everything, so this year I wanted to buy something that means something… You gave me my beautiful son,” he said before announcing, “I bought you a house in DR.”
He then played a video that showed off the extravagant island digs, complete with a pool on the roof. “I spent some millions on this, right here on the ocean,” he told Cardi as she watched the presentation.
Excited and rightfully so, Cardi shared the incredible news with her fans on Instagram.
“For a hot minute now I've been telling Set that I really want to invest in short term home rental properties in the DR and other Caribbean countries (since people vacation all year around in those locations), but I felt like he didn't agree with me and would rather put money into other investments,” Cardi B wrote on Instagram.
She continued, “Well, I was wrong. I just can't believe this ! This was sooo amazing to me. For one, I’m so happy that you were actually really listening to me and not just smiling and nodding your head so I could stop talkin to you about it 😂. Two, you don’t think my investment ideas are wack 😩 and three, I love that you asked my dad to work with you on this. You and my dad (and the 🤱🏽) are the most important men in my life and it makes me so happy that you guys are close and have your own bond and relationship. I ♥️♥️ you so much and I can't wait for this hangover to go away so I can show you my full appreciation 😈😈.”
According to the video, the modern home has six bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, and a separate studio entirely surrounded by palm trees with spectacular ocean views and more than one pool. Basically a straight up paradise.
Aside from the incredible gifts, Offset made sure to come correct and post a dedicated birthday post on IG for his wifey. Featuring two pics from the previous nights festivities, the post came one day after Cardi’s actual birthday, but it’s okay, they we’re a little busy that day.
