It’s already been an eventful week for Doja Cat, and it’s only Wednesday. After being named BMI’s Pop Songwriter of the Year at the privately held 2023 BMI Pop Awards, Doja hopped on Twitter to do what she does best (other than writing pop songs of course), which is stir some ish up.

After calling her previous two albums “cash-grabs,” and claiming that fans had fallen for it, she finished off the tweet with a spitfire sign-off, saying, “now I can go disappear somewhere and touch grass with my loved ones on an island while y'all weep for mediocre pop.”

Yup that checks, well as far as Doja's concerned, especially since just last month she spoke out about no longer being interested in the genre, and has other plans for her forthcoming album. “No more pop,” she tweeted, revealing her next project will be entirely rap.

Speaking of her next album, Doja followed up her “cash-grabs” tweet with another tweet clarifying that despite previously changing her social media handle to “Hellmouth,” that had everyone thinking that would be the album's name, she actually plans to name her next album, First of All.

First of All, which Doja officially has listed as part of her Twitter bio, has yet to receive a release date. Additionally, Doja also has “Finally” written in her bio as well, causing some people considering the possibility for a double album situation, and others suggesting that those are probably just the first two singles headed our way. One of which could be what Doja teased on IG Live shorty after -- like we said eventful week. Either way, were sure Doja will take to Twitter to clear it up at some point. For now check out the snippet Doja shared below.
