Frank Sinatra fans are in for a real treat.

One Day University offers fascinating live talks and lectures by some of the best professors at the most prestigious colleges across the United States right from the comfort of your home, for a small annual membership fee.
On March 31st, One Day is holding a presentation of “The Life, Music, and Genius of Frank Sinatra,” which will explore the legend’s distinctive musical style from “My Way” and “Strangers in the Night,” to “New York, New York” and beyond.
“Why is Frank Sinatra famous? What is behind his ‘genius’?” reads a description of the lecture. “His phrasing and tone, the timbre of his voice: these are the qualities that set him apart.”
The course is moderated by Anna Celenza, professor of music at Johns Hopkins University and author of the book “Music that Changed America.”
“Using numerous musical examples,” the description continued, “Anna Celenza traces the origins of the famous ‘Sinatra Sound’ and reveals how, over the last half century, it has influenced a disparate array of musical styles and genres that make up the kaleidoscopic nature of today’s American soundtrack.”
Following the conclusion of the one-hour lecture, Celenza will offer a live Q&A session where attendees can dive deeper into Sinatra’s history and indelible imprint on the entertainment industry.
Admission into the “The Life, Music, and Genius of Frank Sinatra” talk requires a subscription to One Day University, which also features unlimited access to hundreds of entertaining and informative lectures on science, history, art, politics and more.
