JAY-Z, Kanye West, Diddy top the list of highest-paid Hip Hop artists

The highest earners in Hip Hop have been announced. In a new report, former Forbes writer Zack O'Malley Greenburg revealed the Hip Hop Cash Kings list. The exclusive ranking features the highest paid acts this past year.

Topping the 2021 report is JAY-Z earning $470 million. The entrepreneur and rapper is a billionaire with multiple business ventures such as Roc Nation and Tidal. Kanye West held the number two spot earning $250 million and Diddy rounded out the top three, earning $75 million. Other rappers on the list are Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Travis ScottDJ Khaled, Eminem, J. Cole, Birdman, Doja Cat, and Tech N9ne.

O'Malley’s independently published the list on his Substack newsletter titled Zogblog . The report was re-published editorially on VIBE. An excerpt reads: "The list of hip-hop’s highest-paid acts measures pretax income for calendar year 2021 before deducting fees for agents, managers, lawyers and living expenses. Estimates are generated with the help of numbers from MRC Data, Pollstar and other databases, as well as by interviewing handlers and some of the artists themselves."
