This is a different kind of Daily Double.

Recently, "Jeopardy!" fans noticed the incredible resemblance between Professors Tournament champion Sam Buttrey and comedy legend Steve Martin.

Well, it seems Martin noticed it too and he offered up a characteristically hilarious response on Twitter.

On re-tweeting the "Jeopardy!" announcement of Buttrey’s win, Martin captioned, “So great to split the prize money with Sam!”

As Entertainment Weekly noted, last week’s Professors Tournament was the first ever for the beloved game show. Buttrey, an associate professor at the Naval Postgraduate School, took home $100,000 in prize money. He will also return to compete in the next Tournament of Champions.

Seeing they had the attention of one of the most famous comedians ever, "Jeopardy!" itself quickly responded with, "We would love to have you on Jeopardy! anytime, in any capacity!"

Given the year-long twists and turns of the post-Alex Trebek hosting carousel, it’s unknown if the show would toss another wrench into the roster by asking the "Only Murders in the Building" star to guest host.

But the 76-year-old comedian would definitely make an exciting contestant.
