Turns out we’ve all been mispronouncing Adele’s name. How embarrassing!

During a recent interview surrounding her new video for “I Drink Wine,” the 34-year-old received a fan-submitted question via video to which she responded, “Love that. She said my name perfectly!” Wait, what?!
Following the London-based fan’s question, Adele explained she pronounces it uh-dale as opposed to ah-dell.

Adele is just weeks away from the start of her Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The residency kicks-off November 18 and runs into March 2023.
The show has been long awaited as it was originally scheduled to take place in 2021 before the songstress postponed it at the last minute. “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time,” Adele said at the time. “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.”
Well, it’s ready now and we can’t wait to see what it’s all about! No doubts it’ll be worth the wait.
