“I’m deleting my twitter but on God I hate this f****n dumba** fan base,” she tweeted before deleting her account. “You got the slow dumb***** dragging my kids all cause y’all though I was going to the Grammys and I didn’t the f***? When the f*** I hinted I was going? just f****n stupid I can’t I needs to protect myself.” Cardi seemingly left the social media platform when followers mentioned her two children, whom she shares with husband Offset.

Cardi also appeared on Instagram live on Sunday to further address the situation. She revealed that one of the reasons why she didn't attend the GRAMMYs this year is because she’s working on new music. "I'm doing a red carpet soon and it's gonna be great, but I don't like it when motherf****** attack me to do some s*** and then call me lazy because I'm not doing it," she said on IG live. “One thing I hate is when people call me lazy because I work so motherf****** much. And that's why I'm f****** mad."

The 64th annual GRAMMYs took place Sunday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Cardi B was nominated for one award, Best Rap Performance for "Up." The award ultimately went to Baby Keem for "Family Ties" featuring Kendrick Lamar. Cardi won her first GRAMMY in 2019 for Invasion of Privacy. The “WAP” rapper made history as the first female solo winner to win Best Rap Album.
