Look up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a drone bringing you a large pepperoni pizza!

Pizza Hut has enlisted the help of a restaurant logistics company called Dragontail Systems to test out delivering food orders using drones, reported the Wall Street Journal.

Dragontail is currently working with one of the chain’s local restaurants in Israel to do test flights before taking orders in June.

Unfortunately, the drones won’t come directly to people’s homes and instead will be sent to designated parking lots where drivers will pick up the orders and deliver them to hungry customers.

The company expects to have 12 drones up in running, each with two parachutes. Orders will be packed in a thermal sleeve to stay warm and customers will be able to keep tabs of the entire delivery process using an online tracker.

One drawback is that the drones can only carry up to 5.5 pounds of cargo. "It's about two pizzas and a Coke," Udi Shamai, president of Pizza Hut Israel told Axios.

While the pizza drone experiment is only being tried out in an area north of Tel Aviv, its success - and if approved by the FAA - could lead to expansion into the United States.

If and when the day comes that pizzas fly, Dragontail already has deals in place with US companies like Papa John’s and Sweetgreen to help your dinner soar to new heights.
