As the iconic newsman continues to recover he is very grateful for the well wishes.
Al Roker, NBC morning weatherman has not appeared on the news program since Nov. 4 as he’s been in and out of the hospital for blood clots in his legs and lungs.

The health setbacks caused Roker to miss the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years, according to PEOPLE. He also missed this year’s light of the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.
“Today” anchor and Roker coworker Hoda Kotb said, “We all wish Al could have been with us but due to some complications he is back in the hospital and he’s in very good care. He’s resting and his doctors are keeping a close eye on him.”
She went on saying she video chatted with Roker from the tree lighting and “He gave us a big thumbs up.”
PEOPLE reported that Roker was rushed to the hospital after Thanksgiving.
Roker has been the weatherman on “Today” since 1996.
Roker let the public know of his health issues in a mid-November social media post.
“Last week I was admitted to the hospital with a blood clot in my leg which sent some clots into my lungs," he described.
Roker is still recovering.
