Appearing on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” earlier this week, Hathaway (who played main character Andy Sachs in the 2006 hit movie) sat down for a conversation with host Andy Cohen and Victoria Beckham. Hathaway was asked if she thought Andy’s boyfriend in the movie (played by Adrian Grenier) was the real villain. Not Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly.

After the host emphatically answered "Yes, he was!" Hathaway follwed up with, “No, I’m sorry. I don’t.”

“I think that they were both very young and figuring things out. He did behave like a brat, but I also behaved like a brat in my 20s,” she continued. “I hopefully grew out of it, and I think that’s what we all do. I wouldn’t want to be defined by my worst moment in my 20s certainly. So I don’t hold Nate as a villain actually.”

Hathaway has a busy schedule on the silver screen in the near future. She’s starring with Jeremy Strong in James Gray’s upcoming “Armageddon Time” and has four films slated to release in 2023.

“Armageddon Time” will hit theaters Oct. 28.
