Jenna Ortega ("Wednesday," "Scream VI") is in talks to join Tim Burton's long-awaited sequel to the 1988 hit film "Beetlejuice."

The casting would reunite Ortega with Burton as they've worked together on his Netflix series, "Wednesday," & the news comes as Ortega's "Scream VI" hits theaters.

The film's original star, Michael Keaton, would return for the sequel and Ortega would reportedly play the daughter of Winona Ryder's Lydia character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

After years of speculation about the sequel happening, or not, Brad Pitt's production company Plan B boarded the film. It now seems closer than ever to becoming a reality.
