Things were almost way more strange in Hawkins back in season 2.
The verified “Stranger Things” writers room Twitter account let loose a factoid that the character Will, played by Noah Schnapp, almost had a way bigger role in the season’s conclusion.

“Crazy s**t almost happened #1: In season 2, a possessed Will was going to kill Bob,” the tweet read.
The actual ending saw Bob, played by Sean Austin, meet his end with a death by Demogorgon.
There hasn’t been a “#2” tweet after that “1,” but perhaps some more “what ifs” are on the way?!
Season two of the series saw Bob, a Radio Shack manager begin dating Will’s mom, Joyce (Winon Ryder). At season’s end Bob puts his computer skills to use and helps Will and his mom bust out of a laboratory where they had become ensnared by Demogorgons. Bob doesn't make it out alive.
Netflix recently released both parts of season four and it according to the same Twitter account that dropped the nugget about Will’s almost season two ending, writing has begun on the season five episodes.
“Stranger Things” is streaming on Netflix now.
