Jamie Lee Curtis is most-known for her decades-long career as an actress, helming the classic horror series “Halloween,” swapping places with Lindsay Lohan in “Freaky Friday,” and even getting an Oscar nomination for her role in the critically-acclaimed indie darling “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”
But as the daughter of actors Janet Leigh and Tony Curtis, the Golden Globe winner has been part of the Hollywood scene since before she was born, and this past weekend, she paid tribute to her parents at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Curtis, who snagged the SAG Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a supporting role Sunday, told People that she wore her mother’s wedding ring for the occasion.
“Honestly this morning I was grabbing my jewels to put on for tonight and I saw it in a little box and thought about my parents and I wouldn’t be here without them,” she said. Curtis continued, noting that she “literally wouldn’t be here without them, just biologically wouldn’t be here without them, and I am a product of this town, these people.”

Curtis credited her parents with her relationship to Hollywood, saying that she is “a product of this town, these people. I never would have been an actor, it was a total fluke I became an actor. And so, I don’t know, I just wanted to bring them here tonight.”
She referenced her choice of jewelry during her acceptance speech, sharing that she was “wearing the wedding ring that my father gave my mother.” She then teased that “they hated each other, by the way, by the end of it.” Curtis and Leigh were married from 1951 until 1962 and shared two daughters, Kelly Lee and Jamie Lee.
