The Colorado-bred band recently dropped a new single called “Lonely Machines,” featuring 100 Gecs and spoke a bit about how the collaboration came about. “We came into pretty serendipitously," they shared. “We were working with our friend Benny Blanco… and he told us… this group 100 Gecs… they’re insane, they’re kinda pushing the envelope in production similar to how you guys did 10 years before.” After listening, there was no denying it, so they decided to reach out, to which they revealed, “and it was just as easy as that.”

Even noting that one half of the musical duo admitted to being a bit of a fangirl. “Turns out Laura was a huge fan of ours… and said she was even at our 10 year reunion Emo Nite tour.” They went on to further share, "it was kinda seamless, we already started the structure of 'Lonely Machines,' and we just kinda sent it there way, and they literally did what they do best, which is literally obliterate it and tear it up.”

Morgan even took time to play a new track called “KISSLETOE,” for which Sean accompanied by making a claymation music video. After admitting he got a bit too invested and possible developed carpal tunnel syndrome, Sean joked that claymation would now become his “main source of income,” while 3OH!3 would become his "side hobby.”

Lastly the final topic of the very short discussion involved the clean sweep of social media 3OH!3 had just done in order to get us ready for what’s to come. Which in turn got the internet all in a tizzy, so rightfully so Morgan asked what we could expect from them within the new year. Clearly on a kick, they boys jokingly or not answered “claymation,” but then more seriously let us know that “the one positive out of this year is that we were able to focus in on our own stuff, it’s been four years since we put out a record.” They further explained that this time has allowed them to “get back to basics,” adding, “and we're about to put out a bunch of new music real soon.”
