Alyssa Milano could be the latest celebrity to foray into politics.
The former “Charmed” star said on Tuesday she is "considering" a run for the House of Representatives in California in 2024.
“I’m looking at California’s 4th District to potentially run against [Rep. Tom] McClintock (R),” Milano told The Hill.
Milano, 48, went on to say that she is looking to flip the district, which has a Republican stronghold and where Trump beat Biden by 9 points in the 2020 election.
“I would love to maybe consider flipping that seat blue,” Milano said.
Milano’s would-be opponent won reelection in the area with 56 percent of the vote.
While she has not made a final decision, Milano said her celebrity could be useful in getting a win for Democrats, and even said she is conferring with experts on next steps and options.
“It's going to take someone with, I think, name recognition and deep pockets to be able to run against McClintock, and so I'm considering it. I'm basically gathering information right now, speaking to different consultants, speaking to the community,” Milano told the outlet.
Currently, the former “Insatiable” star is balancing several Hollywood projects, including a just-wrapped movie for Netflix and a forthcoming “Who’s the Boss?” reboot.
Because of the busy schedule, she’s eyeing after the 2022 midterm elections to make a final decision.
“Before I run, obviously I can’t do both at the same time,” she said. “So it’s just really going to be about timing.”
