For Valerie Bertinelli, she’d rather be happy on her own than in love.

Currently working through a contentious divorce from her second husband, financial planner, Tom Vitale, the 62-year-old Food Network star told Hoda Kotb on the Today show that she is done looking for love.
"I am gonna be more than happy to be happily divorced and spend the rest of my life alone," Bertinelli plainly stated. "I'll be happy that way. Well, with my six cats and my dog and my son, and hopefully one day grandchildren."

Bertinelli is still going through the breakup after filing for divorce in January of this year. The estranged couple married in 2011.
However, she sounds perfectly content with her ultimatum. When asked again by Kotb if she’s looking for love, Bertinelli quickly responded, “Oh, god no” –in that wounded, sunny way she brought to the character Barbara Cooper on the 1970s hit sitcom “One Day at a Time.”
As Entertainment Tonight reported, the ongoing split got uglier this week when Vitale asked that the court's ability to award support to Bertinelli be terminated; and he also requested that Bertinelli pay attorney's fees and costs.
It gets worse.
Vitale also asked the court for a "determination as to the validity of the Prenuptial Agreement dated December 21, 2010, and/or that any provisions are unconscionable."
"Divorce sucks, I can't imagine ever trusting anyone again to let into my life. So I have some trust issues that I'm sure I'm going to have to get past," Bertinelli told Kotb.
Around the end of “One Day at a Time,” Bertinelli fell hard for late rock guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The pair were married from 1981 to 2007.
Bertinelli recently refered to Van Halen as her “soul mate.” She remains very close with their son, Wolfgang, 30.
