After a few years away of not releasing any new music, focusing on her role in the upcoming Wicked live adaptations and her R.E.M. Beauty business, Ariana Grande confirmed that her 7th album will arrive in 2024.

Closing out the year with a post she captioned, “See you next year,” alongside a series of photos, first was a pic of a cluster of polaroids, followed by some R.E.M. things. some BTS studio stuff, and a video of her mother Joan dancing in a muted video.

Earlier this month, Grande began teasing her musical return, sharing several slides of herself working on new music. However, one very important thing was missing — SOUND!

Many of her famous friends shared in the excitement leaving comments for the new music era on the way. “FINALLY,” wrote Selena Gomez. “UN MUTE PLS,” commented Billie Eilish — Agreed. “Oh this bout to eat,” wrote SZA. “She’s HOME!!!” added Victoria Monét.

Ariana followed up with another video tease, giving fans a peek at her recent time in the studio with producer Ilya Salmanzadeh semi-obliging to Billie’s request, keeping only some sound in, but none with any actual music.

So, we'll just be here... waiting.
