Concerts and festivals are slowly starting to to make a comeback, but that doesn’t mean we have to say goodbye to the Fortnite virtual “musical experience.” Which brings us to our next point - next to hit the virtual stage within the game as the headliner of The Rift Tour is… Ariana Grande.

Grande is just the latest artist to team up with Fortnite. Previously Travis Scott headlined his own Fortnite event during which he debuted his Kid Cudi collaboration “The Scotts.” As well as Marshmello, who held the first ever virtual concert collaboration with the gaming brand.
Ari’s five-show concert series kicks off August 6 at 6PM ET, and shows will run through August 8. And for those AG fans across the globe in let’s say India, there are more shows, so you’ll be able to tune in at a reasonable time.
For those planning to attend Epic Games recommends being ready in-game 60 minutes before any of the performances so that you can jump into the Rift Tour playlist when it goes live 30 minutes ahead of showtime as many Fortnite events have quickly filled up in the past.
As for what you can expect… According to Epic “The Rift Tour will begin with experiences that pair popular tracks with moments based on elements from the game.”
“Players will be able to travel side by side with their friends on a journey to magical new realities where Fortnite and Ariana collide."
And of course, as with any in-game event, Fortnite will be offering skins, rewards, and quests. For our personal wish come true - you can dress up as Grande to attend the concert - as part of the Icon Series in the Fortnite Item Shop.
Personally as non-gamers we perused the internet for additional information that’ll get those of you who do game just the right amount of hype. And according to Gadgets 360 ahead of the Rift Tour series, you can complete Rift Tour quests that could potentially get you a loading screen (Cosmic Cuddles Loading Screen), an emoticon (Cloudy Kitty Emoticon), or a spray (Rift-sterpiece Spray). Not sure what any of that means, but yay, sounds exciting!
Also, you will even get a reward for just attending Grande's concert: the Cuddly Cloudcruiser Umbrella. And if you have a Fortnite Crew subscription, you'll receive three more items simply just for logging in, which include - the Rainbow Cloudcruiser Umbrella, the Skye up High Loading Screen, and a Rift Tour-themed Banner. Again, not sure what any of that means, but we love us some swag, so again yay!
