What They're Saying: Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, and More Speak Out About the Death of George Floyd

Musicians are using their platforms to incite change

Artists such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Cardi B and many more are using their social media platforms as a means to speak up and speak out, after George Floyd was murder by a Minneapolis police officer.

As protests across the country ensue, many of these musicians have been at the front lines of the peaceful protests. Additionally, these artists are sharing ways across Twitter and Instagram, in which we can all support black lives through direct action, financial support, education, and solidarity.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga declares she is ready to create change and calls on other communities to show support towards the black community.

Beyoncé

In a video, Beyonce bluntly demands change and shares how to sign a petition in order to support George Floyd.

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande shares voting information and aims to inspire the next generation of voters to become involved. She uses the hashtag, “#thankunextgen.”
