President Biden welcomed Billie Eilish and FINNEAS to the White House on February 9 as the trio posed for a photo that was posted to the official POTUS Instagram account.
“When I heard my friends @billieeilish and @finneas were in town for a show, I knew I had to invite them over to the White House,” the caption said. “Great to see you and your family — and I’m glad you got to meet Commander.”
White House Assistant Press Secretary Kevin Munoz told a Bloomberg correspondent that the Biden family “have been long time fans” of Eilish’s music.
Eilish is currently in the midst of her lengthy Happier Than Ever tour and performed at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. on February 9.
Earlier in the tour, a video of Eilish went viral as she stopped her show when she noticed a female fan getting crushed in the pit. Billie asked her crew if they had an inhaler on hand while pleading with the crowd to give the concertgoer some space.
After seeing that the fan was all good, she then took a dig at Travis Scott by indirectly referencing the recent Astroworld tragedy in which 10 attendees lost their lives after a crowd rush. "I wait for people to be okay before I keep going,” Billie announced, which received loud cheers from the audience.
